The company has its roots in BMG Hardware, Bundoran which in 1998 expanded and Donegal Town Hardware was set up. Led by Martin Mc Gowan and John McGroary, both men have long histories in the hardware trade and are happy to combine their experience to bring high quality and huge variety to the area. Ever since it has been South West Donegal’s number one choice when it comes to the supply of Building Materials, Hardware, DIY, Paint, and Household Goods. We are also proud to be the largest stockists of steel in the locality.

As a family business closely connected to the community we are constantly trying to drive prices down, while ensuring that brand choice and quality is always at the top of our agenda. We are part of United Hardware, which is the largest buying group in Ireland with over 150 stores, which enables us to offer a huge range of products at the most competitive prices around.

Our store itself is set on 2.5a with the shop having more than 5,000sq.ft of floor space to make it easy to view all of our range of products. This is combined with the outdoor gardening centre and 15.000sq.ft of storage space for all our stock. It’s a store to be proud of and we’re sure you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for.

We have built our reputation on hard work and a dedication to making sure our customers always get what they need no matter what the job. From home improvements and gardening to working with builders, plumbers, electricians and the County Council we have everything covered under one roof, with the capacity and the expertise to help out everyone.

The great knowledge of our staff is one of our greatest assets. There are over 20 staff in our store, many of whom have worked in construction or decorating themselves. Whether it be talking about colours in our specialist paint mixing department or sitting down with us for a self-build consultation we are always happy to advise our customers and help them through every step of a job.

We deliver free of charge to south west Donegal with prompt delivery to all areas on the south coast of the county including Killybegs, Glencolmcille, Glenties, Ardara, Lettermacaward and all areas adjacent to Donegal Town.
